Fedora Core
As you know we only use Linux and more specifically Fedora Core OS' here at Etonic Networks.

We thought we'll give you an update on what's going on here as far as the router upgrade. Well it's still underway, not really!
Hopefully this week we'll take the router down again and try out the new beast.
Check back here for updates.

Core Router Issue
The scheduled core router upgrade did not go according to plan. We encountered several problems along the way such as bad fiber boards, and routing tables issues.
After a few hours of struggling, we decided it wasn't a good idea to keep our customers waiting any longer so we stopped the process, backtracked to the backup router and back online we were. In other words, we're back to square one. Things accomplished: 0, zero, zilch, nada.
We may be doing this again later on tonight. You'll get posted here on what's going to happen.

In the mean time our backup core router is happily running all routing segments with very little lag.
Though, last night we have encountered some strange slowness and routing issues. Problems are normal now.
